How to Edit a Report After Creating it

You can update any part of the report, including property details, buyer and seller information, beneficial owner data, and payment details. This includes correcting addresses, names, ownership information, payment amounts, or any party-submitted sections. All fields remain editable even after a party has completed their portion.

If you need to edit any information you can return to the report to:

  1. Fix incorrect data if something was entered by mistake during the initial setup.
  2. Adjust closing information, for example if the scheduled closing date changes.
  3. Resend secure links to buyers, sellers, or entity contacts who still need to submit their information.

All of these actions remain available until the report has been fully reviewed, marked closed, and filed. This ensures accuracy and gives your team the ability to keep the report updated as information evolves during the transaction.

Our filing team manages the full workflow data collection, tracking, review, and submission. You will receive a notification when the file becomes “FinCEN clear-to-close,” meaning all required information has been collected and the report is ready once the transaction closes.

Reopening a Draft

If you started a report but did not finish it, it will appear in Draft status. Drafts can be edited freely until the report is marked Closed and Filed.

To reopen it:

  1. Go to Reports in the left menu.
  2. Filter or search for the report with Pending Collection or Due Soon status.
  3. Click the pencil icon to reopen and continue editing the desired report.
  4. You may update any section (Property, Buyers, Sellers, Payment, Closing Details, etc.).
  5. Save changes and continue when finished.

Correcting Party Information After They Submitted Their Form

Every section is required to complete the report. Each row lists the section name, an edit icon you can click to jump directly to that section to make updates without scrolling through the entire report, and a status label that tells you whether the information is complete. If the party requires you to re-enter their information (for example, incorrect ID, wrong address, missing owner), you can either edit it yourself or resend their secure link so they can re-submit it.

Sections labeled COMPLETE have all required data.
Sections labeled INCOMPLETE still need information before the report can be closed and filed.

How to Resend Secure Links to Parties

If a party hasn’t responded, lost the email, or needs to re-submit their information:

The Sharing section lets you control every invite sent to buyers and sellers. From here, you can Cancel an invite to remove it, Resend the link if the recipient didn’t receive it, Edit the email address if it was entered incorrectly, and Copy Invite to manually send the secure link yourself. The Close button simply exits the window and returns you to the main report.

You can resend links as many times as necessary.
