This guide explains how to use the Reports Dashboard to monitor all Fincen Real Estate Reports associated with your transactions. The dashboard displays each report as a row in a table, including key details such as deadlines, property information, and filing status. This centralized view helps ensure that every required report is completed accurately and submitted on time.

The Reports Dashboard is the central workspace for reviewing and managing all created FinCEN Real Estate Reports connected to your transactions. Every report appears as a row in a customizable table, allowing you to scan and act on important details in one place. It provides a complete overview of your FinCEN reporting workload, helping you stay organized and maintain compliance.

Filter Status

The Filter Status option allows you to view only the reports that match a specific stage of progress. For example, you can choose to display reports that are:

  • Pending: Reports that are still waiting on required information from the buyer, seller, or entity/trust owners before they can move forward.
  • Complete: All required information has been submitted and reviewed, and no further action is needed at this stage.
  • Ready to Close: All information has been collected, and the report is complete but waiting for the transaction to be marked as closed.
  • Closed: The transaction has closed, all data is complete, and the report is ready to be filed with FinCEN.
  • Filed: The report has been successfully submitted to FinCEN, and no further action is required.
  • Exempt Reports: The transaction has been reviewed and confirmed as not subject to FinCEN reporting requirements.

This helps you quickly focus on the reports that need attention without having to sort through the entire list. It streamlines your workflow by grouping reports based on their current status in the reporting process.

Edit Columns

The Edit Columns feature lets you choose which information is shown in the Reports Dashboard table. You can customize the columns by turning them on or off. By selecting only the fields that are most relevant to your work, you can simplify the dashboard and focus on the details that matter most to your workflow and compliance requirements. This helps make the dashboard easier to read, and reduces unnecessary information.

Viewing Report Details

Each report includes a view icon located at the far right of the row. Selecting this icon opens the full report, where you can review and update details as needed before exporting or filing. This section provides several useful options for updating or reusing the report.

You can edit a report by opening it and selecting Edit from the review section.

Edit: Lets you reopen and modify the report; changes will regenerate the PDF but won’t affect any already filed status. Additionally, you can select Open Filing Interface to go directly to the FinCEN filing page, where you can complete or finalize the official submission. This review area makes it easy to manage, update, and file reports efficiently all from one place.

Editing a Report

If you need to make updates or complete missing information, click the blue pencil icon. This action opens directly to the Data Entry section, where you can review and edit all the details required for your Real Estate Report before submitting it to FinCEN.

In this section, you can verify that every field is filled out correctly and ensure that no information is missing. The system highlights incomplete or missing sections and fields, helping you quickly identify what needs attention.

All required details must be entered in order to complete the filing compliantly.

Create Invoice for Client

To pass the filing cost through to the client, the invoice for the FinCEN service needs to be included in the standard closing packet. You can generate this invoice directly from a report by clicking the invoice icon on the right side of the report row.

The invoice screen will open, letting you enter your service fee and an optional invoice number to then download. The system auto-fills the report details, so the invoice is accurate and ready to attach to other paperwork. This makes it simple for firms to recover the cost with minimal staff time and without changing their existing paperwork workflow.
