The FinCEN real estate reporting rule was paused nationwide by a federal judge in Texas. The government has now appealed this pause as of May 11th. The requirement to file could resume shortly. To avoid closing delays, we recommend starting reports but holding off on finalizing filings. Starting reports is cost-free with no billing until filing.
